Description

Cosy Goat is a two-person studio currently based in Devon, England. We focus on making games that are engaging and fun to play. Our first project is Seasteader.

History

Beginnings

The beginnings of Cosy Goat can be traced back to the Summer of 2014 in Essex, England, when the first code for Seasteader was laid down. The project was worked on at varying levels of intensity until the Spring of 2015, when work began in earnest to craft a great game. At the start of 2016, the project moved to Devon and attracted its second member, and work on it once again switched into a higher gear.

Seasteader

Seasteader is a city building and management strategy game. With it, we aim to recapture the fun of building one's own metropolis or little empire with a side helping of resource management and the ability to play it as a sandbox. Seasteader is inspired by modern games such as Banished and the Tropico series, as well as classic games like Pharaoh, Caesar III, and the Theme and Tycoon games.
